Luckley farm is an idyllic and unique wedding venue with 18th Century rustic charm. It is a haven of peace and tranquillity, providing a picturesque backdrop of rolling Cotswold countryside and listed Cotswold stone farm buildings to stage an intimate and perfect ‘home from home’ wedding. There is plenty to inspire you. Taking over the whole farm on a Do It Yourself basis, Luckley allows you the freedom and flexibility to be creative without constraint….your wedding, your way and how only you dreamt it, within your budget, with your family and close friends staying with you, to share in every experience and memory of your celebrations. Luckley Farm has accommodation for 36+ people in 18 bedrooms within The Farmhouse, Granary and Warren, and gives you also The Snuggle for one couple, possibly as the bridal suite. There is flexibility in how the bedrooms can be made to suit your group best between double, twin and triple. For numbers over 36 there are additional foldouts, futons and cots to take you up to 50 total in the accommodation. There are many local B&Bs and hotels within 1-5 mile radius for other guests also.
Luckley does not hold a Ceremony licence but is within minutes from the quaint village churches of Condicote (1 mile) and Longborough (1.5 miles). Some couples also choose to be quietly married (to sign the Register officially) just prior to the stay and then enjoy a personalised ceremony with nearest and dearest within the grounds of Luckley, in the orchid or gardens.
The Farmhouse garden is a lovely spot for post wedding champagne and canapés or retire here for Tea following a Reception in The Barn.
For your Reception, you are in complete control on the theme and style….whether you wish to self-cater an intimate wedding breakfast, host a fully catered meal in The Barn or even hold a relaxed Spit Roast style event in the fields with music, merriments and games for all. Some couples have opted to set up a marquee on the tennis court for up to 200 guests – this involves extra costs and is on a ‘diy’ basis with your chosen marquee company. All options can be followed by a dance in The Barn with music up to midnight. You are able to have a band, DJ or music system as you wish, with a mahogany wooden floor throughout for dancing. If it suits your theme and desired atmosphere, barrels of the local Donnington ale (Brewery of the year 2010) can be arranged to add to a relaxed feel. The Barn is booked on a DIY basis where you set up the day before, decorating however you wish and then pack down the day after with help from your family and friends.
